Nothing. You did nothing wrong, Captain, but to perhaps insist too strongly of our innocence. But we are innocent, and there is nothing else we could have done. If you'd not spoken the way you did, it is possible they'd have thought us less guilty, but it is also just as likely they'd have thought us guilty for it.
