It seems the differences in your stories have given the wolves more chance to hide. Although I wonder if I am reading too much into it. This 'Disney' version with the talking clock confuses me...

Yes. Because I couldn't change without others, I would have continued to be the same as I always was. It is only because they wanted to defy their fates that I realized that I too, wanted to change. But they are not here now, and being a wolf...I do not know if they are meant for happy endings.

...yes. Although that is not how the story is supposed to be, I feel in my heart that is what I would rather do. So it is good for everyone involved that I am alone, I suppose. That way they can make their choices without me.
