I'll tell you a secret - your partner is in a similar situation to you, being interviewed in a similar way. You already guessed that, right? Bitter, she'll offer him all kinds of things to get him to turn on you. If he decides to kill you and you don't fight back, you'll get cut down.

Knowing that, you have a choice: Will you attempt to kill him? Or will you relent and hope that he does not attempt to kill you?

…If it came down to a fight for survival, Ken is physically a stronger fighter than I am. However, he is less likely to kill me than I, him. He is aware of this. We would do what is best for Mukuro-sama; I would not fight him to the point where we both become useless.

Not that I'm trying to convince you because the sight of blood excites me or anything, but I just want to let you know that if you choose to kill him and he chooses not to kill you, you will assuredly win. We'll make sure of that.

But if you trust him, and he trusts you, you both survive the night.
