Wolf Meeting Grounds for Game 5

My pets you may gather here and speak without fear of being seen.

Criminal investigation is my hobby.

I suggest making targets out of those that are accusing other campers, one each time, and then picking the others at random.

[identity profile] redrisngphoenix.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
But isn't that a little blatent? For instance, if I accused Ari, and then I died, it would cast suspicion on Ari, but... that's the sort of thing everyone expects automatically, so it never seems to work.

I'd rather kill random targets - or suspicious targets to throw the sheep off. Or even innocents - Alphonse Elric would make a good first victim.

[identity profile] not-homicidal.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
The obvious can be the least expected. Any strategy is a double-edged sword and what you're suggesting is deliberately random choices, which may be even worse since your "random" strategy sounds like it's picking out the more oblivious campers that can be more easily swayed than others.

[identity profile] redrisngphoenix.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, but swayed by whom?

I've thought of that, too. I may be able to keep Ari convinced, but really, he figured Taro out before me, so I should be very careful around him. Other than that, there aren't many people I know this game.

We could pool a list of people who would trust us easily and work them. For me, I'm fairly sure I could convince Lady Tot of my good intentions, as well as Ari.

[identity profile] number1idol.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
I actually don't know many people this time around. Ari, and Murata a little bit--Tetra a little. But I don't talk to any of them regularily enough.

[identity profile] redrisngphoenix.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
Then we go with Ari, definitely. I'm working on Lady Huang as we speak, and this Winry girl. Too early to tell, but I think things are going smoothly.

I may work on Murata some, too.

[identity profile] not-homicidal.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
It would be a domino effect. If you can find some participants that trust you and are trusted by others you can set up a network of those that will vouch for you.

You'd have an easier time with this than I would.

[identity profile] redrisngphoenix.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Most definitely.

It's still too early to tell with Lady Huang, but I think her focus is tightly on you - I'd wager her suspicion vote went to you.

I may see if I can play good cop to Murata and Ari - his sudden jump in 'popularity' *does* look suspicious.

[identity profile] not-homicidal.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
You obviously missed us playing Capture The Flag.

... It's very strange. Ying offered something of an explanation, but I'm loath to believe it would just be that.

[identity profile] redrisngphoenix.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
She told me she 'didn't want to not see it coming'.

I honestly think this is her idea of foreplay.

[identity profile] not-homicidal.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds like her. I'm actually rather surprised she felt a need to cast suspicion on me immediately, given what an obvious choice I would be.

... It probably is. Sorry.

[identity profile] redrisngphoenix.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
After this, she'll probably never trust me again, though, so it looks like we'll be in the same boat after this.

Not that she's not a decent catch, but really, it's... kinda like thinking of your parents' love lives.

[identity profile] not-homicidal.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
... Given that she's expressed admiration for my putting her in a chokehold, I imagine she'd be disappointed to find out afterward that I didn't kill her.

[identity profile] redrisngphoenix.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
Speaking of...

Do you think we should? If she begins to suspect us, I mean. I'd rather not, as she's well-connected and will probably yell if she suspects us, but silencing her may be a distinct possibility at some point.

You willing?

[identity profile] redrisngphoenix.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
You'll also be interested to know that Lady Huang has opened the post between the two of you to Winry and me. We've been instructed not to reply.

There's got to be a catch. There's no way she'd just go for you with no proof.

She must be biding her time with me, then.

[identity profile] number1idol.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Have either of you voted yet? Check out those numbers--bizarre to have so many so early, and percentages seem off.

[identity profile] not-homicidal.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
Not yet. You?

I'll be at a hundred percent no matter how many votes are cast against me.

[identity profile] number1idol.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Not yet. Yeah, but in the first poll, the one without you. Those numbers don't add up. Guess someone didn't read the post carefully.

[identity profile] not-homicidal.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
I saw, but it's been fixed now.

[identity profile] redrisngphoenix.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
I'm thinking I may claim Murata Ken has been a victim of scapegoating after a little more time has passed. I'll have to ask Lady Huang if she voted for him first, though.

Then, if he gets voted out, I'm in a better position tomorrow.

Or, of course, one of you could claim this, too, although it's usually my racket to count suspicion votes. It'd be out of character if I *didn't* say anything.

[identity profile] not-homicidal.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Feel free. I tend to operate independently, but I may echo your claim.

[identity profile] redrisngphoenix.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
I was thinking that was the best way to do things, really - independent operations would be a lot better in case one of us goes than to coordinate something massive and then get screwed by too much involvement.

Lone wolves, huh?

[identity profile] redrisngphoenix.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah - when you wake up, go vote for Al in the suspicion poll so he'll go up tomorrow.

Since I'm already in contact with Lady Huang, I'll tell her that's my vote. Chisame and I jumped on Ari just now to convince Lady Huang Al was a wolf.

The moving of votes will look suspicious otherwise.

[identity profile] redrisngphoenix.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
And disregard, please.

It's over. Al's the prime suspect.

Feel free to vote wherever.
